What happens
You lie back in a reclining basin chair. Every ritual starts with a herbal hair wash — a slow scalp massage worked from the hairline back, then rinsed warm. The longer rituals add a herbal foot soak first, body therapy, and facial care afterwards.
All of them finish with a blow-dry. Most guests leave a little dazed.
Which one to book
If you have half an hour between other things, take Seren Refresh. If you want the neck and shoulder work — and most people who sit at a screen do — take Seren Balance. Seren Bloom and the Signature Ritual are afternoons rather than appointments.
Why the Vietnamese hair wash is different
In most of the world a hair wash is three minutes at a basin before the actual haircut. In Vietnam it is the treatment itself. The gội đầu dưỡng sinh tradition treats the scalp as somewhere tension collects and can be released, and the appointment is built around that rather than around getting your hair clean.
The practical difference is time and repetition. The scalp is worked in stages — pressure points along the hairline, the base of the skull, behind the ears — with warm water and herbal preparations between each stage. Nothing is rushed, because the effect comes from the pace.
The Japanese method
Japanese head spa adds a diagnostic layer and a deeper cleanse: assessing the scalp first, clearing build-up from the follicles, then a fine-bubble rinse before the massage. It suits anyone with an oily scalp, product build-up, or flaking, and it leaves hair noticeably lighter at the root.
What it helps with
People come to us for tension headaches, for sleep that has not been working, for a scalp that feels tight, and quite often for nothing more specific than a bad week. We are not going to make medical claims about it. What we can say is that an hour of it does something an hour of most other things does not, and that the effect tends to outlast the appointment by a day or two.
What to expect practically
You stay dressed. You lie back into a basin chair with a towel across your shoulders and your head supported — this is not the neck-craning position of a Western salon basin. Your hair is washed twice, treated, rinsed, and blow-dried at the end, so you leave looking presentable rather than damp.
Tell us if the water is too warm or the pressure too firm. Both are easy to change and neither is meant to be endured.
Which ritual, honestly
Most first-time visitors should take Seren Balance. Sixty minutes is long enough to actually unwind, it includes the neck and shoulder work that does most of the heavy lifting, and 279.000₫ is a low price for an hour of anything.
Take Seren Refresh if you are genuinely short on time. Take Seren Bloom or the Signature Ritual when you have an afternoon and want the body work and facial care as well. Booking ahead is sensible for the two long ones.
Which ritual suits your scalp
Most people book by how much time they have. It is worth booking by what your scalp is actually doing.
Oily at the root within a day or two of washing. The herbal wash in every ritual clears build-up properly, but you want the longer scalp work — Seren Balance or above. Tell us when you book and we will spend more of the time on the cleanse and less on the face.
Dry, tight or flaking. The opposite problem, and worth saying out loud, because the preparation changes. We use a gentler herbal blend and finish with more conditioning through the lengths.
Fine hair that will not hold volume. Product and oil sitting in the follicle is usually the cause. People with fine hair notice the difference after a head spa more than anyone else — the hair simply moves again.
Nothing wrong with the scalp, everything wrong with the week. Then it is not really a scalp treatment you want, and Seren Balance is the answer — sixty minutes with the neck and shoulder work included.
Coloured or chemically treated hair. Tell us. We keep the water cooler and avoid anything that would lift tone.
What the hour actually feels like
You will be asked to change into a gown for the longer rituals, and shown where to leave your things. Nothing is rushed at the start; if you arrive hot from the street, sit for a moment first.
The chair reclines fully, so your neck is supported rather than bent over a basin. That sounds like a small thing and is not — a Western salon basin for an hour is genuinely uncomfortable.
The wash comes first: warm water, the herbal preparation worked in slowly, and the scalp taken in sections — hairline, crown, the base of the skull, behind the ears. There are rinses between the stages. The pressure is firm but never sharp; if it is not right, say so, and it will change.
Somewhere in the second ten minutes most people stop tracking time. That is the point of the pace rather than a side effect of it.
Afterwards comes whatever your ritual includes — neck and shoulders, facial cleanse, mask, body work — and then a blow-dry. You leave with dry, finished hair, not damp hair and a towel.
Afterwards
Drink water. A scalp massage moves a surprising amount and people often feel lightheaded standing up too quickly, which is ordinary and passes in a minute.
Leave your hair alone for the rest of the day if you can — no tight ties, no heat. If your scalp was oily, you will probably find you can go an extra day before washing.
Once is lovely. Once a month is when people notice their scalp behaving differently. We do not sell courses or packages of sessions, and nobody will call you.
Questions people ask
Will my hair be wet when I leave?
No. Every ritual finishes with a blow-dry. If you would rather leave it natural, tell us and we will simply dry it off.
Can I come with wet or dirty hair?
Yes, and it makes no difference to us. You do not need to wash before a hair wash.
Is it suitable if I have dandruff or an itchy scalp?
Usually yes, and the herbal wash often helps. If you have an open, broken or infected area on the scalp, tell us first — we will work around it or suggest you see a doctor before booking.
Do you do this for men?
Yes, and regularly. The treatment is the same. Short hair does not shorten the scalp work.
Can two of us come together?
Yes. Say so when you book and we will put you in side by side rather than at opposite ends of the room.
How far ahead should I book?
The thirty and sixty minute rituals can often take a walk-in. The 105 and 120 minute ones are worth booking a day or two ahead, especially at weekends.
